What is the frequency of watering Crocosmia plants?
Crocosmia grows well in medium wet soil. Newly planted bulbs are always watered until they have established. Water is applied to the soil once or twice a week, at the time of growing season, to ensure uniform moisture. Do not overwaterlog, and thus make corms rot. When flowering starts, you can reduce the amount of watering, since these plants are quite drought-resistant. The ground around the base should be mulched to retain moisture, inhibit weeds and keep roots cool so that they grow well and bloom long.
